Alejandro Alba

is a bilingual on-camera host, writer, and producer with a knack for making things digestible, fun, and engaging. Whether moderating a presidential forum, reporting from Antarctica, or interviewing celebs, he brings energy, curiosity, and a deep love for connecting with audiences.

Alejandro is now anchoring The Loop, a national news program produced in partnership with Hearst that reaches TV stations across the country in English and Spanish. His work there spans everything from script to screen—writing, segment development, interview prep, on-air graphics, and the logistics that get a story on air.

Before The Loop, Alejandro spent years hosting and producing at NowThis, where he moderated a presidential forum with Joe Biden ahead of the 2022 midterm elections, led live coverage of the COP26 and COP27 climate conferences in Glasgow and Egypt, and presented at conferences like Aspen Ideas Climate and the United Nations World Oceans Day.

He’s covered a wide range of issues geared towards breaking down complex subjects for young audiences, from environmental news, tech, and science to pop culture and politics. Alejandro has also interviewed high-profile subjects like pop star Charli XCX, marine biologist Sylvia Earle, and Apple CEO Tim Cook.

He’s hosted several shows at NowThis, including KnowThis, In This Together, Can It Save The Planet, and ConTECHtual on Discovery+.
